Title: Post Doctoral Researcher in Laser Physics

Where: Tyndall National Institute
Project: Centre for Telecommunications Value-Chain Research (CTVR)

Field: Advanced semiconductor laser, simulation, design, characterisation and test.
Qualifications: Ph.D.

The Tyndall National Institute is looking for a research scientist to work in integrated photonics research. The research is being funded through the Photonics Strand of the Centre for Telecommunications Value-Chain Research (CTVR). The candidate should have completed a Ph.D. and also have at relevant research experience. The broad research topic is high speed integrated photonics, while the specific project is primarily concerned with integrated laser sources. The candidate should be experienced in the simulation, design, characterisation and testing of semiconductor lasers. In addition, an ideal candidate will have experience in the fabrication of InP based photonic devices.

The post is for 1 year but is renewable for up to 3 years.
