Our client is a quality focused translation and interpreting business with a solid reputation in the Irish market. Due to recent expansion and growth, they are currently looking for experienced and/or qualified interpreters in any language across County Kilkenny. You will be required to work on a range of community, corporate, medical and legal assignments.
Key Responsibilities
• To interpret between English and any other language in the local area in which you live
• You will have interaction with key clients and will be working on a range of assignments
• To demonstrate attention to detail and excellent grammatical and vocabulary knowledge
• You must work to the clients deadlines and service levels using your experience in interpreting
Skills and Requirements
• Either a qualification in Interpreting and/or Interpreting experience of at least 6 months is required
• Successful candidates need to demonstrate absolute fluency in written and spoken English and at least one other language (German, Polish, French, Lithuanian, Moldovian, Hindi, Italian, Latvian, Nigerian, Pakistani, Romanian, Russian, Chinese, Hungarian, Spanish, Arabic, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Farsi, Roma, Somali, Swahili, Portuguese, Thai, Ukrainian, Yoruba, Albanian, Mongolian)
• Ability to meet deadlines and pay attention to detail is essential
• A keen eye for detail to understand what is communicated in both languages with the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly
• Strong research and analytical skills, mental dexterity, and an exceptional memory are important
• Physical presence required for some work which means travel to the location where the services are needed
• Assignments may not fall within the normal hours of 9am-5pm so you must be willing to be flexible
