Job Profile
A fantastic opportunity to join a unique web based business within the conference and events sector. You will liase with venues in your area, develop relationships with hotels, conference facilities to develop advertising revenues. You will also work as a venue finder for meeting organisers, companies and associations to secure bookings on behalf of your venues in your region.
This can be either a full time or part time role, you can manage your own time, develop your own business and avail of the training and support which is in place to help you be successful. Developing new business based on relationships and contacts you can become self-employed, work from your home or own office.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the account management of all venues in your region, ensuring that their details are correct on the website for all existing venues on the site
- Account management will include a quarterly visit to check in with the venue, and develop an ongoing relationship with your key accounts
- You will also be introducing new venues to the website, and securing advertising revenues for your region (approx 5-10 new venues per week is achievable)
- Venues include hotels, conference centres, boutiques, castles, gardens, team building venues, unique and quirky venues, green venues etc.
- Development of leads passed on from head office
- Development of new sales leads for clients looking to organise meetings and events
- Clients you will be targeting include Government departments, Multinationals, Corporate SME's, Associations, Event Management companies and any other meeting organisers in your areas
- Generation of referrals and new contacts through excellent customer service and delivery of results for your clients
Skills & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in conferences and/or events, ideally in the hotel sector or event management
- Sales focused with a very high level of customer service
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbally at all levels
- Computer literacy essential, excellent organisational skills required
- High Level of professionalism
- Determination and commitment, self-motivated
- Entrepreneurial flair and you will need to be driven and committed to maximising your income and the performance of your locality
- Fluency in English is essential
