You know what your job entails - but lets outline it anyway :
• Undertake field surveys for allocated projects and assist other team members as required.
• Prepare computer generated construction plans for roads, traffic treatments, carparks, shopping centres, parks and sporting facilities in a cost effective manner in accordance with specified design standards.
• Prepare engineering computations, estimates and contract specifications for roads, drains, parks and other infrastructure projects in accordance with documented standards.
• Prepare clear and concise reports and correspondence on a variety of engineering matters.
• Liaise with members of the public regarding storm water drainage and infrastructure complaints and prepare reports which document the nature of the problem and recommended solutions.
• Undertake drainage investigations and computation and provide practical, cost effective and timely drainage solutions.
Ideally you have completed a Bachelor of Engineering (civil) Degree combined with at least 3 years experience and proficiency with a range of Design packages such as DRAINS, AutoCAD or 12D.
Preferably you have the right to work in New Zealand or Australia or come from a country which is signatory to the Washington Accord so your qualifications can be assessed easily by IPENZ or IE AUST and have excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
A competitive salary will be negotiated depending on experience.
