Duties
• Working within all aspects of ultrasound.
• Participate in department QA programmes.
• Liaise with staff within the imaging department.
• Comply with the Ionising Radiation Regulations and local rules regarding radiation safety as set within the United Kingdom.
• Maintain good professional & technical standards by attending workshops/courses to update technique / standards etc.
• Provide a high quality imaging service to patients within the hospital.
• Ensure that no person receives less favourable treatment than another on the grounds of sex, marital status, religion, creed, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin or sexual orientation.
• Manage the day-to-day workload ensuring high standard of patient care.
Requirements:
• Must hold a degree or diploma in Ultrasound
• Ideally have the ability to do both arterial and venous doppler work.
• Validated with the HPC.
• Excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and attitude, with a pleasant, friendly manner.
• At least 3 years satisfactory, post graduate experience.
