This established hospital is looking for an experienced MRI Radiographer to expand their expertise and professional development and works well using your own initiative. Are you looking for a step in the right direction working in a challenging role as a MRI/CT Radiographer. You will be part of an experienced team and have a level of responsibility for the provision of an exceptionally high quality service to patients.
Responsibilities:
• To perform MRI/CT examinations at a constantly high technical and professional standard of work, and to evaluate the clinical quality of images produced having first assessed the clinical requirements and sought any guidance required.
• Organize own workload within MRI/CT and work within own professional scope of practice.
• Prioritization of service, dealing with unforeseen circumstances to maintain service, maintain accurate patient records to reflect the service provided and meet professional standards, including accurate maintenance and updating of patient records.
• Ensure optimal use of specialist, highly complex equipment associated in the production of MRI/CT Scans.
• Provide patient care and monitoring of condition during MRI procedures.
• To liaise with the team, Radiologists and other clinicians / managers to ensure the provision of a professional imaging to patients in a safe, clinical environment.
• To provide practical assistance (clinical) to multidisciplinary team members, adapting techniques and MRi/CT imaging according to circumstances and clinical requirements
• Be accountable for ones own professional actions and the actions of radiographic and other non-medical staff within their professional guidelines
• To respect the privacy of patients.
Requirements:
• Validation with Department of Health and Children.
• Hold an appropriate professional qualification recognised by collage of Radiographers M. SC or BSC in Radiography.
• Post graduate certificate in Magnetic Resonance Imaging or equivalent experience desirable.
• Effective Communicator and excellent Organisational Skills.
• Ideally have 1 year Irish experience.
