Company description:

The School of Biotechnology at Dublin City University (Ireland) is active in Life Sciences and Bioprocess Engineering research and has close ties with the on-campus Centre for BioAnalytical Science, National Centre for Sensors Research (NCSR) and National Institute for Cellular Biology. A new research group, led by Dr. Enrico Marsili, investigates electroactive biofilms and their applications (e.g., Microbial Fuel Cells and biosensors).


Vacancies:

1. - Postdoctoral researcher in electroactive biofilms

The Embark initiative (www.ircset.ie) offers 3-years research funding under the Inspire Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme. The call is open to applicants resident in Ireland who must carry out their work in a extra-EU country (year 1-2) and Ireland (year 3). Candidates should have already a Ph.D., or plan to obtain it before January 16, 2009. The duration of a fellowship is two years and the gross salary is 36550 Euro/year.
